Otomax is established in 2001 as Turkey’s first internet-based multi branded second hand car buying and selling services, subsequently publishing the country’s first car buying and selling magazine with pictures and serial advertisements, the Otomax magazine. A Borusan Group company, Otomax has initiated its Private Auctions and thus become an alternative center for independent and franchised dealers for providing vehicles.
Otomax was merged with the world’s leading provider of vehicle remarketing auctions, Manheim Auctions in 2008; and the Borusan-Manheim Company was thus formed. The Company continues its operations under the name of Manheim Turkey, enhancing Otomax’ heritage in human resources, as well as buyers and sellers networks, with the Manheim expertise and experience in order to contribute to the growth and the institutionalization of the Turkish market.
Areas of Service
Manheim Turkey conducts weekly auctions in its Istanbul-Tuzla, Istanbul-Istoç and Ankara facilities. These auctions are open to anybody wanting to sell their vehicles, however only Manheim Turkey member dealers can participate to these auctions as buyers. These auctions are scheduled at 10 am, every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Vehicles that are put to sale are mostly provided by fleet owners and fleet rental companies, financial corporations, insurance companies, member dealers, franchised dealers as well as individual consumers.
The vehicles are sold in these auctions under Manheim Turkey endorsement with two options as with or without grace period. Manheim Turkey provides traffic transaction agency services throughout the sales process, in order to avoid complications and problems.
Manheim Turkey provides as part of its Private Auctions system, reconditioning, pricing, inspections, transport and logistics, title management and marshalling, among others for all second hand vehicles, whether imported or locally produced. Allowing only the franchised dealers and the 2nd hand automobile dealers to participate as buyers prevents the competition to be built unrightfully, as it would have been if consumers were allowed to make bids for purchases. Thorough cleaning services (interior, exterior and engine) are also provided for participants.
Manheim Turkey does not implement any brand restrictions for its services. The cars put to sale in Private Auctions are provided with Manheim Turkey endorsement. The auctions attract sellers and buyers from various cities.

Membership Requirements
If you are the owner of a company, an expression like auto, auto buying-selling, automotive, motor vehicles should be written on your tax registration certificate or trade registry gazette. If you are the owner of a single proprietorship you should be operating a auto delaer. When we receive your membership request, our sales representative will contact you depending on your location.
